Sandalford's Margaret River Shiraz is very good. Dark purplish red in the glass, the nose displays perfumed floral characters, white pepper and toasty vanillin oak. Medium to full-bodied weight on the palate with dark berry fruit flavours intermingling with fine tannins and toasty oak.

Colour: Dark ruby red colour with some magenta hues.
Nose: The classic Margaret River Shiraz with perfumed floral notes in addition to the aromatic spices of anise, clove and bergamot.
Palate: This is a medium bodied Shiraz, certainly a fruit driven wine which possesses added complexity and character from barrel fermentation and maturation. Part of a new range from historic Sandalford; founded in 1840 but only planted to vines in 1971, this red comprises wines made from a mix of grapes off Sandalford’s own, unirrigated vineyard planted 38 years ago and other Margaret River blocks.
