Winery: Sandalford
Region: Margaret River
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot
Your Wine Guy says:
The Sandalford Rosé is a bright crimson colour in the glass. Showing intense raspberry fruit and some darker fruits with hints of herbs and spice leading you to a juicy palate with a great balance between the touch of sweetness and acidity.

The winemaker says:
Colour: Like I’ve always said; fuchsia pink, maybe toffee apple red!
Nose: If you think strawberries and cream you would be spot on. Certainly some summer pudding notes as well.
Palate: This is probably the most savoury we have made this wine. There are the unmistakable primary berry fruit characters but also because of the complexity in the blend we have now introduced some spicy elements. All in all a wine we believe is a benchmark Australian style. This wine should be well chilled and consumed before we bring out the 2011 vintage in twelve months time.
