Your Wine Guy is proud to be able to offer you this exceptionally high-quality Australian Cabernet Shiraz that surpasses many of the much higher priced ‘good Bordeaux’. A stunning wine with intense power yet with finesse, built to last many years in the cellar. A complex combination of blackberry, blueberry, mocha and spice greet the nose. The palate is luscious but a little restrained at this young age. Well integrated spicy oak and layers of black fruit characters greet the palate with excellent purity and intensity of both flavour and aroma.

The winemaker says:
 
The Whalebone Vineyard terroir exerts its strength in the Cabernet Shiraz blend as a combination of smoky Eucalypt, anise and fresh earth aromas and flavours. The Tapanappa Whalebone Vineyard Cabernet Shiraz has the fruit sweet core of ripe mulberry and blackberry provided by Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The Cabernet Franc provides a floral aroma note and silky tannin texture and has much greater influence than the 10% component suggests. Brian Croser Winemaker
