Previously reserved for the restaurant trade and cellar door release only, Your Wine Guy is proud to be able to offer you access to this superb limited release offering from the Penfolds stable. This ‘Koonunga on steroids’ label was introduced us in the middle of '09, and every vintage since the ‘Seventy Six' has impressed with the quality that it shows on both the nose and palate. Substantially more powerful than the standard Koonunga Hill, the 'Seventy Six' is easy to drink and enjoy now with moderately intense dark plum, black berry fruit characters nicely balanced amongst some fine grained tannin. A really good buy to either put in the glass now, or into the cellar for a few more years at least.

“it's difficult to segment Cabernet or Shiraz, together they create a plump and dense mixture with a textured finish from the oak - a reference to the original in this contemporary offer. This is a fine 'retro' release in every sense, paying homage to the original 1976 wine.” Peter Gago
