Winery: Wolf Blass
Region: McLaren Vale, South Australia
Variety: Shiraz
Your Wine Guy says:
Prior to 2002, Grey Label Shiraz was a blend from several regions, mostly McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley and Langhorne Creek. Since then, Wolf Blass decided that fruit available from McLaren Vale was best suited for this wine style and the Grey Label Shiraz is now a 100% McLaren Vale wine.
The Grey Label McLaren Vale Shiraz is a rich, inky red in colour with aromas of rich, ripe berries, hints of pepper, spice and dark chocolate. The palate is rich, soft and full bodied with well integrated oak, soft tannins and a long, seamless finish. Brilliant drinking, even in its youth.
