Variety: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay

Your Wine Guy says:
A fantastic value French bubbly made in the Traditional method of Champagne with extended ageing on lees. The colour is golden with fine, delicate bubbles. Almond and butter aromas with a touch of toast. A very balanced wine and an excellent alternative to Champagne without the hefty price tag.

Winery Information:
The Burgundy based De Perriere is owned by Boisset, a family company ranked amongst the largest five wine producers in France. With the size to produce an outstanding range of wines, representing exceptional value for money. The flagship Cremant de Bourgogne, is remarkably similar to Champagne in both its production process and varietal make-up and taste. The 36 month aging on lees, well beyond the legal minimum requirement, adds further complexity and makes this a wonderfully affordable Champagne alternative. The elegant, salmon-pink Dry Rose is also methode traditionelle, whilst the Blanc de Blancs Brut is an excellent value French sparkling.
