Your Wine Guy says:
The wine is medium pale straw with green hues. The nose displays aromas of melons and tangerines with a touch of spice. The palate is complex and crisp with great balance of fruit and acidity. Perfect for the warmer months.

Winery Information:
David Hook has more than 25 years experience as a winemaker for Tyrrell’s and Lake’s Folly, also working in Bordeaux, the Rhône Valley, Spain, the US and even Georgia.
David and his family planted his Pothana vineyard back in 1984. The Pothana Vineyard has been producing wines for more than 25 years, and David releases wines from this vineyard under his ‘Old Vines’ label. The vineyard itself has been planted on the famed Belford Dome in the Hunter Valley which has red clay soils over limestone on the slopes, and sandy loams along the creek flats which is actually a little similar to the famous Terra-Rossa soils from the Coonawarra. 5 Star Rated winery in James Halliday’s Wine Companion 2012
